This is my first biojournal post. I decided to work on digestion and ecology and nutrient cycles in the ecosystem.
Firstly, let me define what is digestion. Digestion is the breaking down of food in the body, into a form that can be absorbed and used or excreted. It is also the process by which the body breaks down food into smaller components that can be absorbed by the blood stream.
Now I am going to talk about Digestion. What is the appendix? What causes it? How do you know if you have it?
The appendix is a small, tube-like structure attached to the bottom on the right side of the large intestine, also called the colon. If you have loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting soon after abdominal pain begins, abdominal swelling, fever of 99° F to 102° F and inability to pass gas. Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix. There is no immediate therapy for appendictis, so it is a medical emergency.
That's all I have for today!
