Today, I will talk about ways on how to decrease the chances of being diagnosed with acute appendicitis.
Firstly, eat more green and leafy vegetables. Researchs have shown that the more fresh and frozen vegetables that a person took, the lower the chances of being diagnosed with appendicits. Secondly, eat more herbs. Studies have shown that some people, who contracted appendicitis, ate herbs and they do not have to go through surgery. Acupuncture and massage too helps to lower the risk of contracting appendicitis.
Another way is to take Colloidal Silver, which can kill off bacteria with certain amount of intake. In the post, I will talk about Colloidal Silver.

In this post, I am going to discuss more on the treatment to appendicitis.
Appendicitis is treated by removing the inflamed appendix through an appendectomy. The inflamed appendix is removed in a treatment operation lasting about an hour. It is not necessary to be put to sleep for this brief operation as it can be done by injecting the skin and muscle over the incision area with a nerve deadener before cutting. Surgeons usually remove an appendix either by making a traditional incision in the abdomen or by using a small surgical device (a laparoscope) that creates a smaller opening. The actual treatment cut is about 2 inches long diagonally over the right lower tummy and heals with a minor scar and as the appendix has no function in digestion you won't miss it.
Before and after surgery, intravenous (IV) fluids and antibiotics will help keep infection at bay and decrease the risk for wound infections after surgery. If needed, you will also receive pain medication.
If the infected appendix bursts, it must still be removed surgically, but a longer hospital stay may be needed so that antibiotics can kill any bacteria that have spread in the child's body.

This is my first biojournal post. I decided to work on digestion and ecology and nutrient cycles in the ecosystem.
Firstly, let me define what is digestion. Digestion is the breaking down of food in the body, into a form that can be absorbed and used or excreted. It is also the process by which the body breaks down food into smaller components that can be absorbed by the blood stream.
Now I am going to talk about Digestion. What is the appendix? What causes it? How do you know if you have it?
The appendix is a small, tube-like structure attached to the bottom on the right side of the large intestine, also called the colon. If you have loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting soon after abdominal pain begins, abdominal swelling, fever of 99° F to 102° F and inability to pass gas. Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix. There is no immediate therapy for appendictis, so it is a medical emergency.
That's all I have for today!
